Friendship

So I just got done watching an episode of The Real Housewives of NYC. The most interesting storyline for this particular installment was that of Bethenny and Jill. They were hashing it out over the phone, and one party had eaves-droppers. All I could think of was how rude! Jill should have taken it into another room for some privacy - She obviously doesn't give a damn about what they had.

Reminds me of an argument I had with an old friend. She was going to be here from out of town and things did not go as we had planned them - next thing I know we haven't talked and have now lost complete contact. It made me very sad to see this on RHW of NYC because it brought back all these unresolved feelings. Do I miss her? Yes. Should we both have apologized to each other? Definitely. After 1 1/2 years of not so much as a hi or hello I would still like to rekindle what we had. But sadly, she will not return any of the numerous emails or fb chats/messages that I have sent.

So this is the conclusion I have come to: If someone really cares to be your friend, they will make the effort. And if I could change the way things turned out I am not sure if I would - Because true friends would show that they would be there through thick and thin, even it if takes some time to cool down after a fight....And it must not have been in the cards to be a life long friendship if she hasn't responded to any of my attempts.
